The Hammers & Hard Hats Construction Party is a once-in-a-lifetime behind the scenes experience and fundraiser event inside the Maurice Bathhouse. Friends of Hot Springs National Park invites the public to see the current state of this magnificent building and raise funds for the restoration of three historic spaces: the sunporch, the lobby and the 3rd floor Roycroft den.
Sponsors and VIPs will be treated to a reception from 4 to 5 pm. The Construction party starts when the doors open for general admission ticket holders at 5 p.m. The event ends at 7 p.m. Attire: blue jeans, work boots and tool belts.
Guests get a chance to swing a hammer to help bring down a wall, or get their hands “dirty” while washing tiles or learning to plaster. “Everyone will feast on a construction worker’s meal and libations such as beer and wine, after working hard, of course.” National Park rangers will also guide Tours of the three-story building.
